Little Bears is located on 6 acres in the heart of Bartlett, on beautiful rolling land surrounded by trees that create a more private and scenic environment and supply abundant shade for all the playgrounds. We have our own ball field, soccer field, basketball goals, sandboxes, and state-of-the-art playground equipment. But, the beauty of nature is what the children seem to enjoy most growing a garden each year and exploring the property gives us lots of room to run and romp and play.
Little Bears is committed to providing young children with a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. We strive to offer enriching daily opportunities, so students reach their full potential socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively within the learning environment. Our based educational curriculum focuses on literacy, math, science, social and emotional skills, and physical development. Classrooms are designed to inspire young learners, capturing each child's interests, ideas, and independence to encourage a growing awareness of self. We prepare students for ongoing school by continually monitoring their readiness for new learning challenges.
Our Toddler Program is a wonderful way to introduce children to the school experience through child development. Potty training, learning to share, taking turns, and expressing oneself where language is the focus for children in this classroom. We are committed to providing a safe and loving environment where each child is nurtured and supported to grow and explore their world. Little Bears lets the children work both independently and in small groups. Your child benefits from attending our school because we put a great emphasis on letting our students learn through hands-on exploration and play. They will learn about shapes, colors, counting, and expression through a variety of experiences during their time at Little Bears Preschool.
Our preschool teachers focus on the Tennessee Pre-K
Standards to ensure each child has accomplished the skills which are
recommended for beginning kindergarten. Within a structured yet cheerful,
creative, and language-rich preschool environment, each child gains the
benefits of attending preschool because they are given the freedom to learn at
their own individual pace, allowing their abilities to emerge and flourish
through our program. As we begin building upon skills and working toward
kindergarten preparedness, our mission is to provide our students with the
skills and competencies which provide the foundation for academic success. This
is why a lot of our focus is on individualized educational plans. These
educational plans are specifically developed for each child, designed to
instill an understanding of their own uniqueness, enable students to experience
success, increase self-confidence, and to develop individually.
Little Bears has a wonderful school age program called the "Bear Club". We offer summer camps and activities over Christmas vacation and spring break. We offer before and after care to the local Bartlett Schools. For an additional fee, Little Bears will provide care on days when schools are closed. We provide a clean and safe environment for all children while in our care.
Mother's Day Out
For the parents that work part time or just want their children to experience preschool before starting school. Little Bears offers a Mother's Day Out program Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 8:45-1:45. This program is a smaller version of our full-time program at Little Bears, allowing parents to let their children have the preschool experience at an affordable price.
